Even though at Blue Mountains Wild Adventures we provide most of the gear you'll need for your canyoning adventure, a few key bits of kit will make your day out even more awesome.

Dunlop Volleys

Every guide's dirty little secret, the good old Dunlop Volleys make for fantastic canyoning shoes. The Dunlop Volley has been around since 1939, would you believe, and after a brief dip in quality, are now being made according to their 1975 specifications, back in the heyday. Pick up a classic white pair or this mean looking pair at Target.

When you get home from your day canyoning in the Blue Mountains, you want to relive it. We love the whole GoPro range but recommend bringing along a Chesty Mount if you can (unless you've got a canyoning helmet with a mount already on it?!). The Chesty Mount lets you go handsfree so you can jump into pools, slide down rocks and just generally get about the canyon with no fuss. Just remember to turn around and enjoy the view once in a while!

Sports Gels

We'll make sure you don't go hungry on your canyoning trip in the Blue Mountains, but our team also like to pack a few little sports gels in their own kit just in case. The Endura Gels are great for when the chips are down (or at least your energy levels!) and will give you a quick burst of energy in the form of liquid caffeine and carbs. Hot tip, give the coffee flavour a wide berth, stick to raspberry and citrus flavours.
